no third gear

I have a 2002 s60 AWD every gear works fine there just isn't a third gear any suggestion of what the problem could be?

It would help to be a bit more descriptive. Can you tell how your car drives from stop to 60 mph in terms of shifting??

How do you know you have no 3rd gear?
