Friend has a 2005 S60 2.5 turbo AWD.
When she first starts it the driver's headlight is on but after a few seconds it goes out.
As it starts the engine does its usual higher idle RPMs and then as they drop that is when the headlight goes out.
Anyone have any hints or tips?

Might be the lamp is failing or the connectors are corroded. Not easy to access, look well on the round covers for arrows showing how to place it back

The connectors all look good (nice and dry with no corrosion) and the bulb has been changed.
I've checked with a voltmeter and when the light is out there is no voltage.
It's just weird how it comes on for few seconds when first started and then goes out again. And the timing is aligned to the engine slowing to standard idle from first startup.

Read fault codes in CEM. If no fault codes then CEM becomes a suspect. The headlights are transistor controlled in CEM. The circuit is shut down for excessive load (shorts ) and there can be a fault with the circuit inside CEM. Remove the fuse for that headlamp and use an ammeter to complete circuit there instead of fuse. See what the amperage is for that one and for the other side.
