Side mirror on a 2002 V70 Blue 2.4T

Hey all, so this morning I backed up too close to the pillar in my garage and wiped out the mirror on passenger side, great start to the day. The mirror busted and a black piece under the painted cover so I'm probably looking at replacing the full unit. I found some on eBay for other 02 P2 but curious how easy the color piece pops off. I seen a few posts on here about this and one had an awesome PDF with how to move the painted part.

So... if I got a new passenger side mirror with different color (not XC70 version) can I remove that and put mine on? I'm not big on eBay used parts but this seems to a time I might go for it.
