passenger side headlight wiper

Post by Clemens »

Hi! I just watched robert video on removing the headlight wiper assembly. I like the part where he states the passenger side is almost impossible to replace. I might have to do that sometime anyhow because mine tefuses to work sometimes. What makes it almost impossible?

Thanks. Clemens

You have to move the AC accumulator to get It past the piping and AC stuff. Just did that on my harvest 1999

You do have more of a problem on a V/S/C 70 but on an 850 it is fairly easy. I did a link and a write up on this recently. No need to remove the A/C or any of that stuff.

Hopefully this topic and the links will help. Not hard as I did it twice on this 97 850 as I was told a V70 motor would work on an 850 but they don't as the wiper arm shaft on a V70 is shorter than an 850.

A V/S/C 70 can also be done this way but it is more difficult due the way the slam panel lower brackets are fitted and the tops of the fenders above the turn signals jut out more, but some duct tape under the ends to prevent paint damage from the slam panel should fix that.
