power station service required and battery light is on

Battery is ok,new alternator installed,sometimes car wont start needs jump. Someday's no warning lights on at all, then lights on and the car stalls out,
what should I be looking for.

Bad cables or grounds

How do you know the battery is good? How old is it?

The alternator is a refurbished and I did replace the battery yesterday when put on the alternator battery starter meter shows that the battery was dead or needing replacing alternator checked out OK . I started the car this morning to find electrical service light warning still on and battery light on . After changing the battery yesterday all warning lights went off . any suggestions what to look for next thank you
