Sell or keep 2002 V70 XC?

Post by scotbones »

Hi all, I am thinking of selling my 2002 V70 XC but just wanted to get some advice from those more experienced than I am. To make long story short, I have replaced ETM, fuel pump, spark plugs and got new tires a month ago at 150k miles. However, I am starting to see some transmission problems which seems not that uncommon with the AW55-50 transmission. In the past, it was just some harsh shifting when going from park to drive but just recently the transmission seems to be having problems at around 55-60 miles per hour. I am reasonably competent at fixing things but doing transmission overhaul is too much (I have two young kids and not much time for super involved rebuilds). One thought I had was just try some Lucas Transmission Fix and see if that can buy me some time. Any thoughts? Any reason not to try to Lucas Transmission Fix or is complete transmission flush more appropriate?

Regards,
Scot

I am in Longmont, Colorado if anyone is interested in purchasing.

Have you drained and refilled the AT a few times to see if it improves?

150k on a P2 is just getting warmed up...
