Ok will try to be as percise as possible. We just bought a 2001 Volvo S80 T6. The cam seals were blown out. I replaced them and cleaned the PCV system. Afterwords it started and we had nice suction using the glove test. 2 weeks later, it had ran awesome and we had no problems, my wife drove it to work and called me in the afternoon when she went to come home the car would not start. When I got there the car would not start everything seemed fine. Eventually I got the Immobolizer message and to check my manual. We towed the car home and I started to diagnose it. I checked the starter and it is good. I jumpered the start relay and the car cranks just fine but it wont fire. I also replaced the immobilizer antenna. The car came with only one key and it was suspect,so no way to see if the key itself was the issue, so I bought another key took it to an indie shop who said they could program the key. When they tried to program the key it wont let them since it says the TCM is offline. There were never any issues with the transmission. So they cant program the key since VIDA wont let them do the download till all modules are online. Suggestion on where to go from here? No codes on my Autel or that the indie shop can get.
Only other thing was that we had replaced the S80 steering wheel with a steering wheel out of a V70 same year. S80 had the little pop up GPS controls and the V70 wheel did not other then that everything looked the same. This was done after we had the start issue. I just want to be thorough in case somehow this might cause the TCM issue?
