2001 V70 XC ignition coils after market issues

Post by Cptgeorge »

I need help I have a 2001 V70 XC and coil #4 went bad so I bought a new one installed it, started the car ran fine turned off the car started again and coil bad again now I moved cylinder 3 coil to number 4 went and bought another one installed and same thing. Well anyways three new coils from different places and the car seems to only burn out the new ones no matter what cylinder I put it in, has anyone experienced this could it be that the car only responds to oem coils and not aftermarket coils is there something wrong with aftermarket coil please help thanks in advance.

If I understand correctly the car burns out any coil from your sources, but OEM coils work fine?

I would stick with OEM coils.
