Reverse double click/pop

A couple questions.


2001 Volvo V70 2.3 T5


When placing car in reverse and then pressing the gas I get two distinctive click/pop one left then one right. The Axle were originally A1 Cardone, but then replace with some other off brand, then recently the front left was causing the car not to engage Park or Reverse replaced the Front Axle with A1 cardone and fix engagement issue but the other side is still the off brand. Any though, and this is only in reverse.


Could you please provide me with the toque specs for the top not and 3 small nuts that hold the strut in place.


Also could you please provide me the torque specs for the rear shock top nut and small nuts that hold the rear shock mount in place.

Are using the parking brake like a good citizen?

My 1999 linings stick and I get a pop when I back up if I park for more than three days

I'll look up those torques and reply here

I don't use the parking brake. As it needs replaced. Say I'm driving and I go to check my mailbox my car is on a little downhill slant, I then shift from D to R and slowly press on the accelartor. I get a pop from left front and then right after a pop from right. I truly feel it is axle issue, transmision only has 90000 on it fully reman and installed by Volvo of Fredericksburg VA.

I bet it's the CV axle retaining bolt ping issue. Check this article: https://www.ipdusa.com/techtips/10185/a ... -s-a-thing
My 2005 S60 does it too (sometimes). The sound is harmless but annoying.
