V70 NA rear built in child seat help required.

One of the many things the PO and her family have managed to break is the pull strap for the built in child booster seat in the rear arm rest. I do not have this in my other wagon. Can someone post a picture of how the strap fits as it has been torn out, un-believable!

Is it easy to remove this feature to allow easier repair access out-with the car? From Vida I would guess the rear seat has to be remove and dis-assemble somehow to access it?

Can anyone with a built in child seat in the rear center seat please take a close up photo of the pull strap that should be fitted to the top when folded away so I can figure out how to re-attach the strap that has been pulled out.

You can definitely pull the middle seat out to work on it. I have swapped them in and out, it is not a big deal. Rear seat back stays in place. I might have an extra in the garage of that piece with the strap in gray, would that help you? Let me know.

Erik may take you up on the offer, only issue is my interior is beige! I'll have another look tomorrow when I have more time and assess if a repair is possible.

Erik, how does the seat come out then? Vida has no info on it as far as I can find. From the parts listing it looks like there are a nut either side onto a threaded stud but it looked like it would be internal to the seat. I'll have to look closer at that too!!

Here are a couple of pictures of the damage to the pull strap for the child seat in the center of the rear seat:

The next question is help in removing the child seat so I can try to repair it. I looked carefully at it and there are 2 Torx screws at the top of the mounting assembly, but there are what looks like other mounts at the bottom I can't see how they are accesses:

The picture above shows what looks like lower mounting points, but no idea how to access. Can anyone explain how this is removed?

No guys, I'm telling you this is a really easy one don't sweat it. You don't need to touch the seatback. Just pull the two torx screws and maybe disconnect any retaining cables underneath, that's it. To check for attached cables flip up the seat bottom.

You can swap cup holders for booster seat and vice-versa, with very little effort.

I can grab a couple pics of the removed item would that help?
