I am going to build a trailer hitch for my 94 850 to save some cash but before I can start I wanted to see if someone had a hitch that they could get a few measurements off of for me? I have been doing machine maintenance work at a scrap yard and I can get a complete hitch that is practically new but not for my car. I plan on finding the best match that will leave me the least amount of cutting and welding to complete. My welding skills are excellent and I have no doubts about the safety of my finished hitch but to make my job and little easier some specs would be great.
1. End to end measurement in feet and inches.
2. Mounting bolt hole measurement center of the bolt hole to center of the other bolt hole.
3. Center of mounting bolt hole to the bottom of the main beam.

This will help me to choose a prefab hitch closest to what I need. Then I will shorten as needed and remove any mounting brackets that won't be needed.
I am also planning to not only fab the two mounting "ears" but also brackets that will extend towards the front of the car and bolt to the frame rail as well as the bracket that bolts to the tow loop on the spare tire storage. Thanks in advance and I will surely post pictures of my progress.

There is a 1994 (I think) 850 wagon in the scrap yard here in Atlanta. It has an official VOLVO issue trailer hitch on it.
Les is more.

I am hoping that maybe someone has one that they removed from their vehicle and it's just sitting in a corner of their garage waiting to be measured. :D
But if you just happen to be at the pick a part and have a measuring tape handy I will be a very happy camper!
