1999 V70 for sale - should I go look at it?

Local Craigslist asking $2600:

Volvo V70 Cross country.
Outstanding condition like new, white in color
Clean Title.
4 wheel Drive good for snow
131xxx miles highway driven, well maintained, works perfectly
No scratch no dents .
Car like new inside and outside.
Car in excellent condition no problem at all.
Very save on Gas .
Automatic transmission everything in really excellent condition.
All power package .
New tires.

Interestingly, the posting makes it look like it's a private seller, but the phone number is to used car/auto repair/taxi/Mediterranean grocery business.

I wouldn't shy away from looking at it, even though it is definitely not "like new inside and out" (e.g. look how worn the interior is). Just treat it like any used car - you don't know what is there until you look. You will probably want to check if the AWD is working, then the usual things like see if the ETM has been changed yet, figure out how the PCV looks, check for split CVs, etc.

Do I need a car? Not really - I'm having enough fun wrenching on my 96 850, but... I have kid that will want a car come summer. The 850 is really her car, but it's my daily driver while she is away in college. I may go look at it, just to further my exposure and experience to Volvo's.

I just bought a 99 V70 T xc for $1300. It's clean, 150k mi., one flaw (away) from zero: the hatch lifters need replacing. -Los Angeles, Feb. 2017

Just make sure the ETS light works so that you don't becoming the dumping ground for an ETM problem. 135k is exactly how long mine lasted, incidentally.

Gotta love those CA cars. One of the few things I miss about living in the California is the longevity of the cars there. Except for the smog hassles.
