Hey folks, it's been a while since I've seeked the advice from the collective knowledge of the forum, but I return looking for answers.
I recently replaced the 4C shocks on my 2008 S80 with standard shocks. I'm in the process of doing a delete by removing the sensors from the old ones and remounting them into the chasis of the car. I did the front shocks about 1 week before the rear shocks. Of course I got the warning about Active Chasis control service needed. A few days after I replaced the 4C rear shocks I got a DTSC service required light. At first I thought it might be related to the alignment I just had done after doing the shocks... perhaps they knocked off a wheel speed sensor, but no luck. They (Firestone) say there's a TON (20+) codes stored and I need to get it to the dealer for reading. I looked at some of the codes they wrote down and none of them were standard P0xxx codes.
My question is, after I get the old 4C sensors extracted from the old shocks and plugged back in, do you think the DTSC Service light will go away? disconnecting the negative battery terminal for about 5 minutes did not reset it.
