So my front tires wearing on outer shoulders with alightment, both hub bearings replaced with premium hubs and everything else seems solid. More worrisome is inner rear shoulder wear that is literally almost on inner side wall. Now my rear nivomats sometime sit low or sit high half the time.
The fronts might be do to 100 miles a day of making local deliveries with her.

No XC AWD experience here, however I too experienced severe inner tire wear on the rear pass. side. Much worse than I ever thought. When I went for a 4 wheel alignment last year, the rear end was significantly out. So much that you can now clearly see the new shiny steel previously covered by the bolts.
You may want to have your alignment verified. Be sure they start with the rear FIRST.
Given your daily mileage, location and driving deliveries, consider cross-rotating your tires at least every 5000 miles.

I appreciate reply, yeah I drive quite bit so that explains front outer shoulders but what's up with rear inner shoulders. It's not running up against anything.sleddriver wrote:No XC AWD experience here, however I too experienced severe inner tire wear on the rear pass. side. Much worse than I ever thought. Definitely have the rear tracking checked. There are many opportunities for wear in the rear AWD suspension. Check all the bushes for wear, especially the bushes in the trailing arms (both ends).

Since I left the Lexus dealership I have no access to an alignment machine, so I ponied the dough and went to the Firestone that I get tires from to get the wheel alignment. They did the wheel alignment, printed up before/after results as requested and everything looked good. When I was underneath her I couldn't find anything wrong but it's hard to tell with the rear bushings sometimes with trailing arms. Wouldn't the tires wear unevenly if the shocks/Nivomats were riding majorly low in the back?scot850 wrote:Definitely have the rear tracking checked. Definitely check the bushings. If you routinely carry a load in the car, might not be a bad idea to have them recheck the alignment with weights in the back to simulate routine driving conditions.
