Opinions needed: 05 v70 2.5T miss fires after hot start

Post by rebeleye »

My 05 v70 2.5t has been giving me intermittent problems for some time now.

This weekend it was much worse. I did about 1 hour of stop and go traffic in the city. As soon as I did my errands and restarted the car the problem recurred.

It seems to run fine after if it can cruise at about 60km hr. The problem seems to iron itself out so to speak. It's mostly idling/traffic driving that triggers continues the problem.

On hot start the car would stumble, idle like crap, miss fire (blinking CEL ), and stall.

I have done the following tests/repairs;

FPS (on rail) sensor replacement
Upstream O2 sensor
Fuel Filter
OEM Plugs less than 1 year.
Air filter
DIY Smoke test (smoke only came out of airbox)

I have attached some VIDA read outs, hopefully someone seems something out of spec because I'm kinda stumped.

Thanks in advance;

That fuel pressure seems low..I thought it was about 50 psi on P2s? That translates to 500-550 kPa, but check my math

Really? I thought the pressure was 44psi on 2.5Ts ... 44psi = 303kPa. I'll have to check the VIDA specs on the correct fuel pressure. Thanks.
