S70 How do I manually open the gas cap panel?

Post by Adabisi »

Hi,

I'm new here and I have a 98 S70. A couple of days ago the button that pops open the panel that covers the gas cap stopped working. Is there a way to manually open that panel? I'm running low on gas here!

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for tip, but there's no such release mechanism on the S70. Pulled off the whole inner passenger side panel of the trunk and nothing.

Any other ideas out there?

There is...it's just between the motor mechanism and the side of the fender and it's not a ring-pull like the 850's...it's more like a lever....reach in there and you should be able to feel it. Just pull whatever you can get your finger around and eventually you'll pull the righ thing...I'm serious.
