C70 convertible 2003 passenger window not working

Post by Kurtis »

Hi all
HELP!!!

My passenger window doesn't move at all. I have checked window motor - ok
Window switch passenger- ok
Power supply to window motor - nothing when switch is pressed.
Buzzed cables to inside of car and cables are ok.
All other windows are fine and drop when the top goes back.
Just the passenger window is dead!!!!
Any help would be most welcomed

Most of the time the problem is in the driver's side switch when the other windows don't work. The 70 series driver's side switches fall into two categories, those that have failed and those that will fail.

The power to the passenger's side switch has to route through the driver's side switch so that both can be used to actuate the window.

Whatever you do, don't let anyone hack into the door/window regulator. It is very expensive to correct by a trained Volvo mechanic.

Not on a convertible. All of the switches talk to a central
module that actually controls the windows. The whole thing
interlocks with the top. I don't know a whole lot about the
system, but I do know that it's much different than the S/Vs.
