Drivers side door

My 98 v70 drivers side door use to make a loud popping noise when opening and closing now i noticed its quite but wont stay open any longer tends to close on my leg is there a spring that maybe broke?I bet there is no chance of find a replacement huh?

The broken part is called a "door check" or "door check strap" and it is cheap and easy to fix but you will need to check if it is simply the strap is broken (super common, easy to fix) or the weld has broken (common problem, PITA to fix).

This is how I dealt with the broken welds on mine. Taking the door off is easy, except that it's quite heavy. The tap and die set and pop rivets are red herrings, I actually drilled holes through and used nyloc nuts on the inside. That was 3 years and 30000 miles ago and it's still fine.

Only thing I would have done (and maybe you did) would have been to drill a small hole at the end of the cracks to reduce the likelihood the cracks will spread further. Simple but effective fix!
