Fuses for power top.

Post by wrathofpaul »

a 1999 C70 Convertible. On the driver side rear in the trunk, behind the trunk light, there's a couple of 20A fuses. Are those the fuses for the convertible top? and if they are, if I pull those fuses will that disable the pesky warning chime I'm getting? The top is toast, it's in the up position but it's not fully locked down in the back, (The two rear latches are about an inch away from being fully closed) and I can't even manually crank it anymore because it sounds like a gear got stripped or something. so I have duct tape along the back so it doesn't leak. The annoying thing is the car keeps warning me the top is not fully closed and that chime will not stop. will pulling the fuses help?
