Help with 12 hour PCV repair (ongoing)

Post by cajunxchange »

Let's just say it's been a long day. The only good news was that the inlets of the block and old oil trap box were clean as a whistle.

I have a few issues. I'd be happy with prompt replies from the all stars on this forum that are familiar with 99 s70 N/A. pcv kit from ipd.

1) silver connector from pcv box to sump: does anyone have issues making that sucker take all way back to engiine? the job was rolling along as well as expected until reinstalling the system. Tried hooking it up both ways btw and adding grease

2) trouble threading left side of oil box. I apparently don't have the proper tools for this. My 3/8 socket and 1/4 doesn't have room to turn.

3) due to number 1, the bolt behind the dipstick doesnt sit flush with the connecting bracket. How important is this bolt? All bolts on IM are fastened.

4) lost vacuum hose. I have brakes hooked up along with the one that runs to the airbox. Need to know location of bottom line that has the two that are connections from IM. I know the top one runs toward the front of car. I hnestly havent a clue as to where the bottom one is.

Thankx
