2008 S60 2.5T - Low power at full throttle?

Post by MOZKNBBUHD »

I've noticed a couple of times that if I go to full throttle it feels like the engine is struggling to accelerate the car at full throttle and high (>5000) RPM. If I let off the throttle to about 75% it feels like all of the sudden it makes far more power and I'm not sure if it's just a boost surge or what. I'm used to slightly more high strung NA cars so this whole torque thing is a bit new, and I noticed on dyno charts that it might actually make peak power at 5000 RPM or so, which would explain why it feels like it's struggling up high. Does this sound like a problem or is it roughly normal for these cars?
