Replacing Left Cat - O2 Sensors too?

Post by bhcreasy »

Due to CEL and associated codes, my Left Cat is being replaced. Is there any reasons to replace any/all O2 sensors at the same time? Are they at end of life, or should they just be tested are replaced upon failing test?

2008 XC70, 225,000 miles

Thanks for your advice.

I would not think so - especially at the price they are charging for those 02 sensors! Crazy!!!

oxygen sensors have a useful life of aprox 100,000 miles Your Cat likely failed due to improper fuel/air ratio over time. At 225 you are due for a new set.

Here is some info from Bosch
