Hello everyone.
Recently I tried a timing belt replacement on my 850. Was following the FCP video and got to removing the tensioner. Loosened the bottom bolt, then removed the top, and then moved the tensioner aside to release the tension. I then made the mistake to use a ratchet wrench to remove the bottom bolt.... yes, it's now stuck behind the crank. Since the wrench can only turn on way I'm now forced to remove the crank to get the wrench out and in turn get the bolt out.
Embarrassing story aside... Say I remove the crank and am not successful in keeping the alignment, can that be turned independently to correct it? I assume since the tensioner is loose the belt won't have the grip to move the cams if the crank accidently moves when trying to remove it. I ordered the Volvo crank holding tool in an effort to prevent any moving…
Thank you
Jeff

Post a photo of your problem re Bottom bolt.
You can always use a pair of pliers and grab the socket to turn the bolt back in.
