2005 s40i blown head gasket

Post by redsox1057 »

I blew the head gasket and machined the badly warped head. Too much material was taken off now I need a new head.
Can any one advise on where I may be able to locate a rebuilt head in this country or a used head that isn't warped. Now I
know what an interference motor is........too bad volvo didn't put a coolant level sensor in the reservoir.

Begovic,
I took a chance and bought a head for my 2005 s40 from Odessa cylinder head in clearwater.
Very competent staff down there ......they asked all the right questions and answered the phone
promptly. I got the head in the mail in about 5 days. I have a great barn yard mechanic here in
NJ that installed it in no time. The car started right up and runs perfect. Thank you so much begovic
for your heads up on Odessa cylinder head. I highly recommend this staff.
