One day i lost power to both my blinkers and then my hazard lights. It started as one turn signal direction went out first, then the rest, including my brights. I checked the fuses, what else should I be looking for? My running lights appear to be working, not sure if theres a short somewhere that would cause everything to go out.

Ignition Switch (electrical part on the left side of steering wheel).
These were the symptoms I had.
New ign switch ($55 at Volvo dealer) fixed the issue.

+1 to the ignition switch. Jiggle the key back and forth, see if that affects it.

I agree with the other guys the ignition switch 'wiggle' may work to highlight a bad electrical portion of the ignition switch.
If that makes no difference, then the next think I would look at the turn signal lever for bad contacts or damaged/broken wires.
Do you have cruise control? Does it work? It is part of the same switch.
Last think to try is the hazard switch unit itself.
Neil.
