parking light warning always on but bulbs ok

i have just bought a volvo v70 t5 and i cant get the warning light for the parking lights to go off, ive checked the bulbs and they are ok, any suggestions.

Which light are you getting....this one is easily confused.

when i start the engine, i get no warnings but when i put on the lights it tells me the 'bulb failure parking light' ive checked the bulbs and they are ok. but also when you leave the indicator on when the engine is off there is no side lights left on, though am not sure if this model dous this or not

Sounds like the wiring on that left side may have a short. I think your thoughts are in the right direction.

Make sure all your lamps are of the correct wattage. Mixing different wattage lamps can I believe cause the warning system to activate.

Does your V70 have lights located between the front wheel well and the front door? If so one may be out.
