Volvo 960 car phone?

Did the 97 960 ever come with a car phone as an option? I'm only wondering because in my car, coming out of the panel on the passenger side there is an aux cord and a telephone chord. I thought this may be for the cd changer but everything I've read says it was mounted in the hatch. Anyone know what this is? Thanks
