Mystery Wire in Engine Compartment

Post by broadusc »

I've spent some time looking over diagrams and images of 2000 Volvo V40 engine compartments and cannot seem to figure out what this wire is (yellow terminator). Can anyone on here help? I just bought this car and noticed that this particular wire terminates near one of the ignition coils, but only attaches to a plastic connector, so it doesn't appear to be connected. I've since recovered the missing wire loom, but I can see that the wire is cracked and near separated in many places, so if it's important, I'd want to replace it. Thanks in advance for any help.
