1999 V790 XC AWD - Removing B+ cable from main fuse box - OR NOT

I've tried before and can't get this to release so I can inspect the bottom of the B+ cable entering the main fuse box.

Any tips or tricks? I have triggered the tabs but am only able to get it to raise about 1/8".

If it is bad, it looks like 6-8 gauge wire should do it. I know the battery terminal end could be better but looks to be intact electrically and mechanically. I plan on cleaning that up and soldering it in the near future as a preventative - I hate crimps.
