Replacing Bosch JT pink label ECU (561)

Replacing Bosch JT pink label ECU (561)

Hey we've got an 89 740 with a horrible start but instantly stop running issue. Buddy of mine said the ECU is shot. It's a Bosch JT pink label ending in 561. Someone suggested replacing this with a 931 or 951.

Is that a suitable solution?
