information switch question

I have an 04 S60 base model.... I was wondering if the information switch that is found on other p2 cars would work plug-and-play on this car. I am referring to the one that rotates on the turn signal stalk. It gives you MPG, DTE etc....

Is this do-able or does it require a trip to the dealer to be enabled? My guess is yes, because everything else on these seems to!

I do have a chinese DICE, so that should work... know what the particulars are by any chance?

You install the new stalk with information ring, doublebug uploads sw remotely via internet.
