P80 and Bastards Compatibility Question (re: trans, engine)

Hello everyone, hope everyone is gearing up for a good weekend of work!

Let me ask you all couple of three things...

1. Can the M56 manual transmission (or other standard P80 manual transmission) be installed into a 99/00 (Bastard) P80?

2. Can a 99/00 (A/T) engine be installed into (or is it onto?) a 98 Manual Transmission vehicle?

3. Can a 99/00 (A/T) engine be put into another 98 (A/T) engine?

What are the pitfalls, challenges, etc? Of these? What would be an absolute nightmare to try to do?

There's a mint, smashed-up 00 S70 whose owner is trying to get more than the $50 scrap value that I'm thinking about picking up and putting in the driveway for later use...

1. Yes. Will the check engine light come on? Probably.
2. Yes you can install it, but I double you can make it work due to electronics.

Is the 00 S70 turbo or non-turbo? If it is non-turbo... I wouldn't even want it for free.

The problem will be getting the ME7 bastards engine spark..it's expecting coil on ignition spark and has no coil nor distributor

If you swap over the 1998 head and ignition, all set.

Yeah, mint 2000 S70 with 130K on the clock and pretty decent interior. But hood, trunk and one door are all a mess. I could probably pick it up for $250-350 and park it here. But aside from the 16" rims and the radio, maybe the windshield, meh, not really interested. I have noticed a couple of times a year there's a stick shift around with a broken timing belt so I was wondering how this worked.

I think I'm going to have to pick up the next MT P80 I find and wait...

We could put a M56 into that S70 and make it work. Might need to clone an ECU to get rid of it searching for the slush box, but all doable
