HID Kits and LED bulb for Hi and Lo Beam/DRL lamps Question

Has anyone ever done an HID/LED conversion on their XC? I want to do it on my new to me 04 XC70. I have converted my 07 Honda Accords a while back and they work fine except for the DRLs feature. An HID does not work on DRLs bc it flickers. I just removed the DRL fuse and not use it. I just turn on my headlamps on Lo beam if I want lights during the day.

So I am guessing that the XC70 DRL will also flicker with HID. With the availability of LEDs, I was going to try them and see if the DRL will work. Has anyone tried replacing their halogens with HID or LEDs? And was there any issue with the DRLs?
