1998 s70 turbo oil supply location

Post by kjj »

Does anyone have a picture clearly showing where this pipe connects to the block?

I took mine apart a few years ago to fix bent valves after losing my timing belt, and now I can't remember where everything goes. I thought I had found it by feeling around, but the hole I found is too small. The data CD doesn't show it at all, just the pipe floating in midair. By searching around I found this picture and this picture, but neither one looks like my car.

Has anyone replaced this pipe with braided hose and AN fittings? I wonder if it is too close to the exhaust.

Also, what is a good place to rig up an oil pressure sender for a gauge? I don't want to delete the idiot light switch.

Yes, I said years. :( I ran into some delays, but I've been making good progress getting it back together over the last few weekends.

Those pictures are from a '99+ style oil cooler.
I haven't dealt with the turbo oil supply line, so I don't remember exactly how mine is, but this picture appears to be a '98 and older style engine and I'm pretty sure that hose that runs to the right side of the block is the one you're looking for.

Thank you! That is way lower than I remember it being, and nowhere near where I was looking. Well, probably like 6 inches away from where I was looking... I'll check it out.

(Holy crap that engine is clean. How'd they do that?)

Probably some sort of blasting media and/or solvent.
