1998 S70 Turbo/downpipe gasket

Post by kjj »

Anyone know about the gasket between the turbine outlet and the downpipe on this car?

There is a raised lip around the turbo flange, and a recess on the downpipe that it fits into. The only gasket I've been able to find for it is this one:

Unfortunately, the hole is too small to fit around that lip. The gasket gets crushed in the joint, and prevents the two flanges from being drawn tightly together, which doesn't seem right.

I have the reference CD for the car, and it shows the triangular gasket with reference # 31, but no part number associated with #31 in the table.

Anyone know the right part number or where to get one? Or any tricks for making this one fit or making a new gasket?
