Hi all
I have a 1988 240 wagon with a 5 speed. My car has developed a pretty bad misfire when I accelerate from a stop in 1st and second gear. It only seems to be after the car is warm. It runs good when the engine is cool for the first 10-15 minutes.
Things I've done recently to try and fix the problem:
Tune up(cap, rotor, plugs)
Clean throttle body and MAF
Replaced flame trap(car seemed to run better for a short time after I did this)
Replaced fuel filter and pre-pump screen(both pumps checked out ok)
checked for vacuum leaks
checked fuel pressure regulator
One issue I'm having: In trying to adjust the throttle position sensor, I notice the it clicks only when the throttle is closing, not when opening.
Any help is greatly appreciated

When I get a fuel injected vehicle, I replace the injectors' O-Rings, and on redblock Volvos, I renew the intake gasket also.

How?

I've noticed similar issues when I had a bad ground, it didn't make sense at first but the electronics need a good ground, so I found a new alternator at the junk yard since I'm on a budget .. Hope to put it on today, it'll beat switching out the batteries...
