Is it very expensive to put a alternator on a 99 s70 Volvo t5
And are they hard to get too?

If you pay a shop to do the job, it's at least $500, maybe more.

Not a terribly hard procedure, but there are some steps to it. Same basic procedure as shown here.

~$220 for a rebuilt by a non-specialist for just the part. Takes about an hour to an hour and a half if you haven't done it before.

The real fun is in the game of Alternator Tetris. You'll see what I mean when you go to remove it.
