2002 Volvo v70 Driver Seat Belt wont retract

Looking for info to remove b-pillar trim and any further information to help me replace the belt. My husband drove it one day and it stopped retracting. I have a replacement and started by removing the sill trim, but cannot get the b pillar trim off.

Also, cannot find my radio code. I have replaced the battery and not had the code... is this going to work same way or will I be sol?

Before you look into replacement I recall a situation with a seat belt on a car that caused issues about 25 years ago. I wore some clothing that the seat belt pulled fibres from and those fibres collected on the seat belt entrance slot. Once this slot was cleaned the seat belt retracted without any hesitation.

A 2002 V70 doesn't have a radio code. Radio codes ceased with the 2001 MY on V70s.

Amanda...found this for you on Alldara for my 2005, I think is the same interior?

The two floor sill trim panels just pop out, no fasteners. Volvo does recommend new clip for the rear trim plate, which is code for “ you might break it on removal’
