2002 S60: Installing passenger power seat

I had a 2001 V70 which blew its head gasket last week. Two years ago, the head gasket went so I had the engine replaced and I don't want to go through that cost and expense again.

My mechanic was selling a 2002 S60 for a customer, the price seemed good so I bought it. It's a base model, without fancy stuff and apparently, fancy stuff includes a power passenger seat.

I was thinking that I could just pull the power passenger seat out of the dead V70 and pop it into the S60.

The S60 must already have connections for the heated seat and the airbag, so the only issue would be power to move the seat.

I've done some reading on the interwebs and I've found other people doing similar things but with my car. So before I attack this project, I have a few questions some based on what I've read.

One person said that my car should already be wired up for power seats. If this is true, this would be wonderful. Is it true.

Another article said that the fuse for the passenger seat would not be installed under the hood and that I'd have get one of those. True?

Any pitfalls that I should look for?

Well at least it is P2 to P2, but I know there were CANBUS changes during the P2 model years - hopefully not one between 2001 and 2002.

These cars are all module and comm controlled so you might need VIDA to get things recognized - you will certainly need it to troubleshoot any problems.

So rather than the buttons controlling the seat motors directly, they tell the computer to move the seat?

I think your 2002 is similar to my 2005, which looks this ugly.. (from Alldata)

While working to remove amplifiers from under the pass seat, I havent noticed any electrical plugs available for an eventual electric seat.

Why have they done this to us?

When I first got my V70 I pulled the radio out which meant that I had to disconnect the heater controls. Doing that gave me an ABS error. Why?

The heater control is tied to the car so I can't get a replacement from the junkyard? Why?

Why? Why?
