XC90 rear reflectors lighted

XC90 rear reflectors lighted

Hello, has anyone removed the upper reflectors from the rear of an XC90 and installed led lighting in those sections, connected to the running lights? Thanks.

This is what I want to achieve on the uppers. I am reading that resistors are needed before the added led lights so the computer doesn't think a bulb is out. The picture is from a foreign blog and it didn't have any tutorials with it. So, I am still looking for more info.
