Bump Stops for Rear Struts

Post by broadusc »

Next weekend, I'm going to be replacing the rear springs (they're broken) and struts in my 2000 V40. I had the wheels off today doing some other work and inspected what I could see of the parts and squirted a little WD40 on the bolts I'll need to work with. One dust cover boot is ripped up, so I'm going to replace those, and I also ordered a bearing/bushing kit. I couldn't see the bump stops. My question is whether I should order a new set (they're spendy), or could I reuse the old ones? Are they usually in decent enough shape to reuse? This old girl has 200K on her.

I would not hesitate to reuse the bumper stops.
