Out of my misery hopefully comes some help for other users here. My car has updated software and was simply lacking real power and appeared to be heading against a "headwind"
I'll post back with a video made after the rear film gets replaced

After about 1.5 hrs of work removed the sensor 1 contacting strip and replaced it with one I couldn't see through that I removed from a faulty ETM that had a board problem. No idea how long it will last but the sweep test shows under 2℅ variance between sensor 1 and sensor 2 so that's a definite improvement over the 75% figure achieved earlier and is about as good as a contacting strip can get.
Photo below shows the sensor 1 strip with wear marks in the early part of the film.
Also a video of sensor 1 removal until the video corrupted.

Drove the car around today and the throttle response is back to normal. Cruise stays on when commanded and that headwind like hesitation seems to be gone. The sweep test shows both green and blue lines are uniform and together for 4 sweep cycles yet I still have a 74% variance on the sweep report (strangely the first sweep test showed under 2% variance).
I have no CEL, YET I have 3 throttle related codes ECM-91A7, CEM-1A5D which is throttle communication and an ECM-959F accelerator pedal code. I'm going to dive back in and take a look at sensor 2 at the other end of the ETM when I have time.
