P1172 code

i put a new etm in my volvo v70xc now its throwing a P1172 code saying throttle actuation potentiometer signal 2 signal too low what does that mean the etm is from xmodex . It will also idle but have no acceleration any help would be appreciated if possible

I can offer you "a lotta nothin'".

Since this problem occurred upon reinstallation could you have shoved a pin or socket into a plug housing such that no contact is being made?

Where'd you look up that code? One online source had no P1172 listed for Volvo but your actuation potentiometer code was listed for VW.
One source said, "Factory fuel air mixture settings"
A few other online sources listed no such code.

A number of people have posted no problems with Xemodex reinstallations.

Could it be a broken wire or fuse?

Per Volvo Vida 2014D: P1172 is the SAE/ISO code for Volvo DTC ECM-261A, Long-term fuel trim, Lower limit.
Some if the DTC code lookups don't get it right.

It is running to rich. Start with

Clean the MAF sensor.
Clean the throttle body.
Check the fuel pressure.
