S60 2003 Foglights not working (fuses good)

Post by Jokerz »

Recently i encountered an interesting issue.
My front fog lights stopped working and i checked all the fuses (all of them) and they`re fine!
Rear foglight turns on, the indicator on the switch turns on. I even hear the relay click when i press the button.
Fitted with new bulbs. Still no fog lights

Has anyone had this issue? Where to look?

Fog lamp circuit is relatively simple. If the fuse is good underneath the panel on driver side, try replacing the relay. The lamps have separate grounding points. The junction point where the (+) voltage splits to 2 wires, one for each lamp, is at the CEM output terminal. A wiring issue would most likely result in one, but not both at the same time, fog lamps not working.

If that doesn't solve it you probably have a broken circuit trace inside the cem/circuit board.
