Would this 2000 radio trim piece fit my 99 v70?

Post says it is from a 2000. Looks like it will fit but I know that piece is a pain and I wouldn't want to get everything apart and then find out it doesn't.

A previous owner put a carbon fiber kit over some trim pieces and I want to swap them out. Have the others sourced this is the hardest one to find, would it fit?

Yes. it will.
However I would wait until it's warmer out and try to remove the old trim first.
Many times these stick on pieces when lightly heated WITH THE INTERIOR WARM will pop right off, many times in one piece when pried correctly.
I don't think you realize the difficulty in changing that center piece...half the dash has to come apart!!!

Roger JRL thanks.

I have just heard its a beast haven't looked into the specifics. I'll lightly get a hairdryer on mine when its warmed up and see if that does the trick.

I just really dislike the carbon fiber trim. Looks like amateur hour.

Whoever is selling this is confused as there is no such car as a 2000 XC70 T5 AWD. It would be a 2000 V70XC AWD. The fact he says it also fits a S60 is worrying as well as that is a P2 not a P80. Does he actually know what he is selling?

Assuming it is from a 2000 V70 XC, then as usual JRL is right it will fit. I have removed this piece without removing the whole lower dash from a car in PnP/junkyard. It is a lot easier to remove the whole dash though. Once you get the part, have a look at the points where the screws are fitted around the circumference to see if you can access them without removing the whole dash.

Good Luck!

Neil.
