05 S60 2.5T Hissing Sound, Passenger side intake
When the car is running, I can hear a sucking or hissing sounds coming from somewhere, I think, underneath the intake manifold near the power steering pump. Is there a common valve or hose that fails there? It is very hard to pinpoint and/or get to that area to check closer.

At warm idle, pull the dipstick and/or undo the oil filling cap. Also watch for fumes out of the dipstick tube. Could be a blocked PCV, urgent repair so you don't blow costly engine seals. May google up for details and don't forget to inspect the oil passage to the oil pan.

Is it continuous and at idle too? Can you record the noise on Youtube?

Continuous at idle. Sort of goes away when revved up, but that could be because the engine sound drowns it out.
thanks I'll check those out. Sounds about right.

Thanks abscate. It was the single small line that came off the banjo bolt that had came loose from where it connected to the can. Didn't improve any of my other issues, but at least that hissing went away!
