Hi Folks
Great site! My Aircon fan has stopped working and I suspect that its the solenoid/resister that has blown. Is there a way to bypass this unit, even if i have to install a toggle switch?

The fan speed controller is just a current limiter on the ground side of the fan. If you ground the fan's negative terminal, it will run full blast. If you place a resistor between the fan's negative terminal and ground it will run at a slower speed. You should use wire and resistors that can carry the current of the fan without burning up and burning down your Volvo.
