Greetings. While washing my car yesterday , I noticed grease inside of passenger front rim. On inspection I find that out axle boot clamp is missing. Don't want to break the side apart to fix. Boot looks decent. Can I just repack with grease and just use a large hose clamp to keep it in place ?

A hose clamp might technically work, but the screw part would be a large mass in one spot, may pull open, or hit. Look for a replacement cv boot clamp

Would a zip tie work for a while ? Just tired of busting my knuckles on this car.

If I can find a hose clam of the right size I'll put it on. Just have to position it right. Repacked the boot to keep it lubed .
My zip ties were to small. LOL.

You can put several zip ties together to make a big one.
