Electrical Issue 2005 S40

My '05 S40 had the all to common issues with standing water in the floorboards from the sunroof hoses being clogged.
Unfortunately - I didn't catch it right away and the water stood in the car for a few days.

That issue has since been rectified, but I now have some electrical issues and I was told there is some sort of ECM or DIM module mounted under the carpet which may have been damaged. (lately I've had headlights go out and come back randomly - they both always work when the car is first started. There have been other such electrical "ghost in the machine" issues in the past since the water damage.)

Could anyone confirm that this module location is true and recommend a cheap fix?
