Hi everyone,
I have a bit of a puzzlement. Drove from work to restaurant to pickup a togo order - about 10 minutes. Car seemed fine. It sat with engine off for maybe 5 minutes while I went into pick up dinner, then hopped in to drive home, and it died when I was turning to pull into the driveway - literally about 3 minutes from the restaurant. I was able to immediately start it right up, pull into the driveway, and it died again. No error messages or warning lights - the engine simply cut off. Started it again, ran a little rough, and it died again after maybe 20-30 seconds.
I pulled out my Android with my code reader app (Torque) and it didn't pull any codes from the car.
I've replaced ignition coils in the past, but only after a code was thrown, and like I said, no codes, and I'm stumped.
FYI, local shop did just replace the radiator (I decided not to tackle that job myself). I've driven several hundred miles since that was done.
Any ideas where to start with troubleshooting this one?
Thanks,
Jonboy

Bueller?
Actually, I think I figured it out.
I decided to check fuel pressure, and it was ok - 25 PSI with ignition switched on (but not starting the engine). then jumped to 55 PSI and stayed there for the duration of the engine running - maybe 10 minutes. Then dropped to 50 PSI when I turned off the ignition and stayed there for at least 30 minutes.
Pretty sure its not a fuel problem.
So then I started down the path of air deliver/MAF sensor. When I pulled the air filter out, I noticed that the air intake was not pushed all the way in place into the Air filter box. It was separated enough that it was allowing air into there from the engine compartment. The MAF sensor hose clamp was not tightened either (remember that I stated that I just had the radiator replaced, so I'm betting they disconnected the air intake when they were working on it).
I put everything back together and drove around for an hour with zero issues, stopping at a couple of stores and coming back out 10-15 minutes later to start the car and drive without issue.
Thanks,
Jonboy

With some many things not properly secured, I'd do a check around each electrical connector and hoses that go into the intake manifold and into the air filter box. Just to make sure everything is connected properly and there's no suspicious empty hole.
I'd also give the battery charge a check and also check the fuel level while there, if the gauge is close to 1/4 it may sometimes be inaccurate.

Thanks - I did a once over on everything when I discovered that, and everything else seemed good. Gas level was full, so I know it wasn't a fuel delivery/availability issue.
